So says Dave Russell, owner of Homestead Resource Management, Inc. in Nye, Montana. Experienced in heavy construction and site preparation, Russell founded the company in 2008. But even with his many years of experience in the commercial market, Russell needed help when an opportunity arose to pursue a federal contract. That’s when he called Montana PTAC.
Government Contracting Advisor Doug Bolender worked with Mr. Russell, ensuring that the company was appropriately registered for federal contracting. He then assisted the client with the solicitation, helping him to understand the requirements and to submit a completed bid. The client’s time and effort paid off.
Last fall, Homestead Resource Management was awarded a $139,725.00 contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for a hazardous fuels reduction project in the Custer National Forest. In subsequent correspondence to the Kalispell PTAC, Mr. Russell said:
Doug . . . I would like to thank you for all you do and have done for me and all the other contractors out there that you help. PTAC is one [government] organization that works for the people to bring job and posterity to this country, again thank you for your help.
